Why

Why did I move my family to another continent?

Why moving to North Africa was driven by a desire to foster growth, collaboration, and innovation among local entrepreneurs, transforming businesses and creating opportunities.

People often ask me, "Why come to North Africa? Isn't life better in Canada?" Economically, it may be easier to live comfortably in a wealthier country, but life isn’t just about comfort. It’s about meaningful connections, purpose, and growth. Having been in different parts of the world, I’ve come to realize that where you’re born often shapes the opportunities available to you, much like the roll of dice in a game.

I enjoy playing board games where strategy plays a significant role in the outcome. Games of pure luck aren’t as fulfilling. In a simplified way, the global economy can sometimes feel like a game, where the randomness of birth—whether into wealth or poverty—can significantly influence life’s opportunities. Those born in regions with access to education and jobs may find success easier to achieve, while others, born into more challenging circumstances, face an uphill battle. However, just like in complex board games, strategy, resilience, and collaboration can often make a big difference in leveling the playing field.

In North Africa, I’ve met many brilliant minds—people who have worked hard, studied, and gained valuable skills but face systemic challenges that limit job opportunities. Despite this, many have found ways to launch creative, dynamic businesses. I’m continually inspired by their innovation and drive. Many have chosen to stay, despite the odds, and are building businesses that are growing into thriving small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

These entrepreneurs don’t need help—they’re already working hard to achieve success. What they do need are partnerships and resources to help them grow faster and more sustainably. That’s why I’m here: to collaborate with these inspiring leaders, to help provide support that can strengthen their growth, and to be a catalyst for creating more jobs and opportunities for others. In short, my vision is to transform the way businesses grow and empower individuals to reach their full potential through digital innovation and consulting services.

If you’re a North African company striving to grow and create positive change, I’d love to connect and explore how we can work together to amplify your impact.

Steven
